Original painting was inspired by an evening hike in Mount Revelstoke National Park, British Columbia, during those fleeting moments just before sunset. As the sun dropped toward the horizon, its final rays caught the edges of the mountains, illuminating the exposed rock and lingering snow with a warm, luminous glow.
I was drawn to the contrast between the last light touching the high peaks and the deepening shadows settling across the landscape. There is something magical about this brief transition—a moment when the mountains seem to hold the light before darkness descends.
