Original painting was inspired by a beautiful stallion I encountered in the meadows of central British Columbia. Rather than showing the horse within the larger landscape, I wanted to create a more intimate composition, focusing closely on its face, expression, and quiet presence.
As I travel and paint throughout British Columbia, I am constantly discovering new landscapes—not only the dramatic mountains and wilderness, but also the rural countryside, open meadows, ranches, and animals that are such an important part of the province.
