Original painting depicts the turquoise waters of Spray Lakes above Canmore, Alberta, with Goatview Peak reflected across the surface of the lake. It is a beautiful and serene part of the Canadian Rockies, surrounded by rugged mountains and vast stretches of wilderness.
Over the past twenty years, I have hiked, explored, and painted this area many times, returning in different seasons and changing conditions. There is always something new to discover—the colour of the water, shifting mountain light, reflections, and the quiet atmosphere of the landscape.
