Original painting was inspired by a summer painting expedition to northern Vancouver Island, exploring its rugged coastline and spectacular secluded beaches.
I love the wild character of this part of the West Coast, where rocky shores, windswept forests, and the open Pacific come together. Many of these remote beaches take some effort to reach, which makes discovering them even more special.
