Original painting depicts the reflection of Mount Rundle across the quiet waters of Vermilion Lakes in Banff National Park. It is one of those quintessential Canadian Rockies views—familiar and loved by so many, yet always different depending on the light, weather, and season.
Mount Rundle rises above the Bow Valley, overlooking Banff and stretching toward Canmore. Reflected in the calm waters and wetlands of Vermilion Lakes, its distinctive shape creates a wonderful sense of balance between mountain, sky, and water.
I have returned to this area many times over the years, and it remains a landscape I never get tired of painting.
