This studio painting is inspired by my time spent hiking and painting deep within the Cascade Mountains of British Columbia, where the transition from spring to early summer reveals a landscape in motion. As the lingering snowpack begins to melt, the mountains awaken with the sound and energy of water—streams swell, cascades carve through rock, and the terrain shifts from quiet stillness to vibrant flow.
