This plein air painting is part of a series created during a two-month painting journey through Ecuador. Traveling through the country’s dramatic landscapes, I worked directly on location, responding to the shifting light, humidity, and vibrant atmosphere of the equatorial environment. This work is both a visual record of that journey and a reflection of the powerful connection that develops when spending extended time immersed in a landscape.
